What is Paintball

Paintball is a fun and exciting outdoor sport in which two opposing teams battle it out in what is essentially a modern-day mix of "capture the flag" and "hide and seek".

Players are equipped with paintball markers and have to try to eliminate members from the opposing team by marking them with paintballs.

The team which manages to eliminate all other players (or reaches a certain mission objective) wins the game.
Games usually last 15 to 30 minutes and players return to base camp between games to rest, grab a drink, re-fill paintball ammunition and trade battle stories which seem to get bigger and bigger as the day goes on!

Is Paintball Legal?
Yes. On 1 Janurary 2005, the state government passed new legislation to make the sport of Paintball Legal.

Is Big Game Licensed?
Yes, Big Game was the second field in WA (the first South of the River) to obtain it's Coprorate Paintball Licence.
This ensures you are playing at a facility that meets the WA Police and Industry Safety Standards.

Do you have Insurance?
Yes, Big Game has comprehensive public liability insurance. We also have a 100% safery record!!!

What happens on the day?
On arrival, you will be greeted by our friendly staff who will register you in.
After you have filled out registration forms you will be kitted up with all the gear needed for the day and undergo a compulsory safety briefing.
Then the action starts! You will play around 8-10 varied games during the session, with short refreshment breaks in between!

Do I need to fill out a registration form?
All players are required to complete a registration form before they begin play.
Players under 16 years must have their form signed by an adult; we suggest you send these out with your invitations.
The other parents should return their completed registration forms for you to bring to the paintball centre on the day of the event.
Our Parental Consent Form that is required at Big Game Paintball can be downloaded from here.

How many players do I need to bring?
There is no minimum or maximum number of required players; any group size is fine. However there may be a minimum number of players required to open the site if no other groups are booked in for the time and day you request.

Will my child be playing with adults?
Where possible we will join your group with a group of similar age. However, there are often groups of mixed ages (when parents like to play with their children, or there are older siblings joining in etc).

I’m not sure how many players I have, but I want to book now so that I don’t miss out on the date I want. What should I do?
Call us on 1300 BIG GAME to make a Tentative Booking, at no obligation.
Then when you know your minimum number of firm players, confirm your booking.
If you have more players put their hand up between then and game day, thats fine, bring them down.
If you end up with a lot of extras though, give us as much warning as you can to ensure we have room, staff and lunches for them.

What are paintballs made from?
Paintballs are small plastic capsules filled with a non-toxic paint which break upon impact.
The paint is similar to food colouring and will not permanently stain your skin or clothes and washes out very easily with water.
Both the paint and plastic capsules are biodegradable and will not harm the environment.

Is it Safe?
Your safety is our number one priority here at BigGame and as long as you follow some simple guidelines, you're guaranteed to have a fun and safe day of paintballing.
The most important rule you must always observe is simply this:

Never take off your protective facemask whilst on the playing field!

No matter whether you want to wipe some sweat off your face, adjust your mask or you've been eliminated from a game and are standing on the side of the field, you must not, under any circumstances, take off your mask.
Players may only ever take off their masks when they have returned to the safety area at base camp.
All paintball markers entering the safety area have their barrels sealed with a plastic plug and are stored in a rack. Additionally, all paintball markers used at Big Game, including personally owned markers, are chronographed prior to and during game days to ensure they are firing at the correct and safe speed.
Big Game proudly boasts a 100% safety record.

Is Paintballing expensive?
No! Big Game is serious about offering you the best value paintball in Australia.
With a large range of packages starting at $35 and other packages with paintballs starting from $10 per 100.
We have the best prices in Australia!
We welcome you to shop around and then allow Big Game to explain just how we are in fact the best price you will find.
Note: If you see a paintball business offering you something like $9.95 for all day paintball, be wary. You just can't play paintball for $9.95. There will be other costs to add onto that!!
In fact, if you find what you think is a better price, let us know and we will be happy to beat it!!!

See our Prices page for details of our range of packages.

What do I need to bring on the day?
Players should wear old, comfortable clothing and may also want to bring a change of clothes for the conclusion of the game.
The most suitable footwear would be a light boot, but old trainers are most commonly worn.
Paintball gloves are available to buy at the centre, or you can bring your own.
You may also want to bring some money for purchasing additional paintballs.
Other than that, everything you need is supplied in your paintball package.

Can I bring my own paintballs?
No. At Big Game we use top quality paintballs to maintain a consistent safety standard to all our customers.
The good news is that we sell them for the best price in WA.

How can your paintball prices be so low?
Our aim at BigGame is to provide you with an exciting, fun and safe day of paintballing at an affordable price.
We use only the best quality paintballs, namely Zap Tork paintballs which are made in Canada, and we are happy to be able to bring value for money to our customers.

How much paint will I use?
This will depend entirely upon each player, however the average usage is somewhere between 500 and 900 rounds per player per day.

Can we bring alcohol to your venue?
Yes!!! You are welcome to bring alcohol for consumption after the last game.
Remember though to nominate a skipper.
Any players who arrive under the influence will be asked to leave.
Water, Energy Drinks, Softdrinks and snaks must be purchased onsite.

Do you offer bonuses for group organisers?
Yes! Our bonus offers change on a regular basis, but range from free paintballs, better paintball markers and even a waiver of your walk on fee.
See the Specials page for more information.

Where and how big is your playing field?
Big Game operates on a large area of land in the Baldivis area, about 30 minutes along freeway South. The field has dense bushland, open areas and a mix of the two!

Can I use the paintballs if a player does not turn up on the day and I have already paid for them or secured them with a Credit Card?
Unfortunately not. If anyone fails to attend the event on the date you have booked, the prepayment and paintballs for that person will be forfeited for the day. All payments are non-refundable and non-transferable.

Do you offer package deals?
If you are a club or organisation, we are happy to negotiate special packages for your group.
For instance, we can accommodate your organisation for a team building day and supply a set number of paintballs for the entire group.

Can you help me with bigger events?
Yes. For example, if you have a product launch, or customer function, we can certainly provide paintballing as one part of that event.
We have plenty of room for marquees and caterers. We can provide electricity on-site for display screens, overhead projectors and the like.
Big Game also operates the only public mobile Shooting Gallery in Perth. So if required, we can bring paintball to you.
Call 1300 BIG GAME and ask about our "Shooting Gallery", for more information.

Do you have toilets?
